Kabir Singh, what the the hell man? Maybe I should be asking that rhetorically because watching that movie was certain Hell. I would have left in between if I wouldn't have been watching it with some of my favorite people who seemed to kinda like it. (BARF*)
I am reconsidering friendship with them at this point by the way.
So, first, let me tell you things that I did like in the movie,
.
.
.
.
.
Oh Wait ! THERE's NOTHING !
Why, Shahid, Why, did you have to act in that movie?! WHY?
That movie just f***ing pisses me off. And being someone in the Medical Field, it just pisses me off even more.
Let me make it clear, I like Shahid Kapoor a lot, he did justice to the character that was given to him.
What I don't like is the Character Itself. That movie is not a 2019 kind of a movie. I don't care how many people went to watch it, that movie is just a long ass ride to TOXIC TOWN. And it is dangerous and damaging.
For all those poor impressionable Post Millenials, who will be gaining knowledge about love and lust from watching the present movies like this one, I feel pity and I feel sorry.
What they are going to learn is something that is NOT LOVE.
It's a money minting agenda that filmmakers put out into the world and every person who LIKEs THE IDEA OF PAIN and REJECTION and HURT.
Twisted minds who want to be STUCK inside their own heads, pathetically trudging on with their lives, thinking that they are somehow GREAT-MARTYRs, that a background score of some painful song is on a loop in their lives, would have liked that movie.
For others, the more mature ones, WHO ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT LOVE IS ! would have thought of the movie as a comedy.
I remember another one just like this, 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil'. Now that was a huge pile of crap as well.
So, Kabir Singh, an Unstable, Drug Addict & Narcissistic Dictator who thinks he owns his Medical College and that he could have Any Girl, has Major Anger Management Issues (he literally SLAPPED THE SO-CALLED LOVE OF HIS LIFE - and didn't even apologize for it later) is the protagonist.
Might I go on? I don't think there is any need, but still.
And the Girl, The Poster Child of How Women should be like. A Plain, Simple, Low-Voiced, Weak-back boned girl who would do just exactly what A Guy would tell her to do. A Victim of Stockholm Syndrome.
And the filmmakers expect us to applaud this whole Charade? I don't get this at all.
There was a comment made by an Indian actress, about the movie. She explains about the difference between depicting MISOGYNY of the Society and Glorifying it. And how it Damages the Impressionable Public especially the Younger generation, by implying that it is somehow heroic to be Misogynistic.
It is my thinking that Love should be taught as a subject in school. Where people are taught about How love should be, how important your self-worth is and how nothing trumps your Peace of Mind.
People will read this article and call me bitter, that I haven't experienced "the power of love". Oh, but that's far from the truth. Once you have been burned, and if you are intellectual enough to LEARN THE RIGHT LIFE-LESSON out of that experience, you would say the same thing as I.
This is another topic of concern - WHAT EXACTLY IS THE LESSON TO BE LEARNED, FROM A TOUGH SITUATION?
This depends on what kind of person you are.
If you are Strong, you would learn to
~ FORGIVE and FORGET
~ MOVE ON
~ KNOW YOUR WORTH
~ RESPECT YOUR SELF
~ NEVER GIVE ANOTHER CHANCE TO THE PERSON WHO SCORNED YOU ONCE
If you are Weak, you would learn to
~ LATCH ON
~ BEING STUCK IN LIMBO & WASTING YOUR PRECIOUS YOUTH
~ WAITING ON SOMEONE, WHO HAS ALREADY FORGOTTEN ABOUT YOU
~ BEING A MORON
~ HURTING THE PEOPLE WHO REALLY CARE ABOUT YOU
Perhaps all this stems from the need of GLORIFICATION, THE NEED OF THE HUMAN MIND TO FEEL GLORY ON SACRIFICE. TO GAIN PITY.
TO FEEL COMFORT IN THE THOUGHT THAT IT WAS SOMEONE ELSE THAT MADE YOU WHO YOU ARE NOW.
THINKING THAT PAIN WILL HELP YOU BE INSPIRED INTO BEING SOMEONE GREAT.
AN EXCUSE-MACHINE.
A Pathetic Robot.
Is what you get in the end.
Because You did WHAT WAS EASY and not WHAT WAS RIGHT.
MOVE ON, Give love another go. A happy and respectful one.
DON'T TAKE THE PAST BAGGAGE along with you on the new journey.
WHAT YOU CAN'T GET IN A NICE AND HEALTHY WAY,
LET IT GO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
